younion's 2nd Vienna Women's Conference was a truly inspiring event dedicated to strengthening women's rights and promoting equality. The focus was on the motto: "Equal rights. Self-determined. Free from violence: Life."
As a graphic recorder, it was my job to visually record the discussions and presentations. The World Café, where ideas for the next five years were collected on four boards, was particularly exciting. The participants discussed what goals should be achieved in the areas of equal rights and working conditions. These visions were then grouped together and presented in plenary - and I was able to document them live in vivid images.
Another highlight of the conference was the panel discussion with Karin Zimmermann (ÖGB expert for women's policy), Renate Anderl (AK President) and Barbara Blaha (Momentum Institute). Key topics such as fair working conditions and the fight against violence against women were discussed. My aim was to make the essence of the discussions visually tangible through my graphic recording in order to provide a valuable addition to the intensive discussions and plans for the future. It was a day full of energy, exchange and drive that focused on the vision of an equal future for all and I am very happy to have been part of it.
Lana Lauren knows how to get to the heart of a message. We already booked her last year, so it was clear to us that she had to be there this year too, because her illustrations fascinated me right from the start.
Thanks to her work, we have not only documented everything, our colleagues can also take something lasting home with them. It is always a great pleasure to work with her. We would book Lana Lauren again at any time - thank you for your commitment.
