On December 12 and 13, 2024, my work as a graphic recorder was all about prevention and child protection: the nationwide symposium "PRÄVENTION NOW! - Strong together for prevention and child protection" brought together professionals, counsellors and interested parties to develop ways for a nationwide prevention system against sexualized violence against children and adolescents.

With inspiring presentations, interactive workshops and a concluding panel discussion, the conference offered space for exchange, reflection and networking. The participants gained in-depth insights into the challenges and opportunities of prevention work. From child-friendly questioning and cybergrooming prevention to self-care for professionals, many perspectives were highlighted.

I used my visualizations to capture the central messages of this conference. It was moving to see how many committed people from very different areas came together here to learn from each other and act together. I am grateful to be able to contribute to making this valuable work visible with my graphic recording.

The topics were sometimes tough fare and showed how important it is to focus on these issues - not just at conferences, but in our society as a whole.
